new school year. I hope you are excited at your new school!
I'm asking a favor. In an effort to improve my performance and that of the
RM students, I'm asking for feedback regarding IB Physics.
First of all, I thought across the board, the exam scores were good. A lot
of people really destroyed paper 3. The thing that held the scores down
was the fickle moderation of the lab notebook. We submitted scores of 6 or
7s for nearly every student. For some reason, IB reduced that to mostly
4s. I can't figure this out and I'm very upset with this change. The
baffling thing is we have done the same thing for the past 5 years and the
lowest notebook score we've gotten is a 6 (unless things were missing). I
have Mrs. Solomon looking into this.
Anyhow, I'm really concerned about the exams because I want to know how I
can prepare you better. Although, as a class we did well on paper 3, a
great deal of you struggled on paper 1 with many students getting a 3.
If you have any thoughts on what could be done please share. I would
really appreciated it.
Also, please comment on things I did well and things I did not do well
while you were in my class.
Finally, please comment on the things Mr. Martz did well and the things he
did not do well.
Feel free to say whatever you want. Besides there can be no repercussions
because you are out of RM! But if you are going to say Willard sucks
please style it up and say WILLARD SUX!
Thanks for your time. I would really appreciate your response.
One final thing. I have made a new bulletin board in my room titled Oh The
Places We'll Go! My plan is to have all the students I write a
recommendation letter for to provide me with a bumper sticker or some
small memento from the college of their choice to place on the wall. If
you want to be on the wall, pick something up from your school and send it
to me or drop it off if you come back to college life day at RM.
So, what's to say, you guys? (That includes the was-juniors.. Actually, you guys especially, since it'll affect you guys the most.)
Points running through my head at the moment:
-stupid annoyingness of rube goldberg
-difficulty of tests?
