And I poked around EOH afterwards; twas relatively boring.. maybe it would have been more interesting if I actually knew where people where in the whole scheme of things.
Picked up an assignment from David S. to check and post the Engineering Council Elections forms. Did that~ and got started on J-net's webpage.
J-net's probably gonna cancel, or at least downsize this year's fashion show. Foo~ Granted, the location sucks ($1125 to get the place, which is way over our budget), and general lack of communication and lack of knowledge. And a lack of people.
Saturday... PuzzleCrunch 2005. I started relatively late, although after meeting up with another group, cracked a few small parts, and our scores combined gave us around 235 by the time we hit the last puzzle. But by then, the top three places were already taken, and we landed in fifth.
And then, there was Amy's birthday~ Happy 20th! Went westwards to hit Baggi's. And got a delicious Filet..eh, something. Chunk of 8 oz. meat~ Twas good. And, I think, worth the $20 ^^;; After that, we went over to Wilson's apartment. And people drank, talked, watched Movies, played UNO. :: muses:: I should cave into peer pressure and try Smirnoff (Twist V? Raspberry and Watermelon? 5% proof, I think it was... people have said it's good, but.. I dunno.) next time. But I think.. once I do cave into peer pressure, it's harder to say no next time. Or no to harder stuff. Should have tried some when Mark offered me some. Then I wouldn't feel obliged to finish it, if it turned out to taste like slightly flavored cough medicine... (that's what all alcohol tastes like to me, really! Although... the stuff I've had... a bit of red wine here and there, a tiny bit of beer... may have been good stuff... I dunno.)
I still don't understand though.. How is losing complete perception of things, inducing yourself to throw up, and downing nasty tasting liquid so attractive? I mean, people who aren't sober are amusing, but I don't really care to be one of them...
'though... I approve of other people drinking. (I'm a reverse-hypocrite?) :D I was quite amused at points.
And it's interesting. I still have a higher tendency to stick to the group that's not the main crowd. Mayhaps, the "geeky"-er people, one might call it. Or people who aren't as sociable? XD Whatever.
Phoo~ I actually wanted to go back and watch more people drink, since Mark was still there when I left with Jon, but... meh. Rain. And the J-net meeting tomorrow at 12. Got to be able to wake up.
Right, anyhow.. J-net emergency meeting tomorrow. ECE391 needs to get partially, or completely done. Bah, group projects. Erm... J-net's website should get done soon... Physics should be studied.
ECE329's been dropped, but I think I'm going to go to class monday anyways; we're going to go see some post-EOH demo, with gauss rifles or something like that. I need to catch up with MATH415.
