I managed to pick up:
30 (or was it 35?) packs of instant noodles
One wooden dart-board, minus darts. I've got cheap throwing knives from budk though.
and a pretty Darca glass/mirror that looks like this: http://www.annshallmark.com/product_details.php?product_id=4715
but instead just has two roses and a butterfly. The message says, "How beautiful is love and the lives of those who share it." It's in pretty perfect condition.
Total: $4 dollars. =^^=v
And then, this morning, I picked up a Roadmaster Mt. Fury bike (cheap walmart crap, so I'm finding out.. at least the bike wheels look quite new, and uh... there's nothing wrong with it, other than the fact that the 3-speed changer handle's been broken off... and the rubber break feet things have been worn off... XP). This wasn't such a great deal, I'm afraid, at $45... I dunno - the speed changer I can fix, if I get parts. And the break feet can be replaced easily. Total there: $45. I arrived too late at the auction to seriously check out the bikes. Nor had I done my research on good bikes... Still, seems most complaints online come from the fact that it can't handle rough terrain, which.. I'm not going for. Just need it for transportation, and for stripping/mixing parts, should something die on the other bike. Still, all it needs to do is last me 2 whole years, then I can sell it.
And also today, three paperbacks for a dollar =^^=v, at the local library used book sale. Got Larry Niven's Ringworld, Diane Duane's The Door Into Shadow, and L. Ron Hubbard's Battlefield Earth. Dunno much about the last one - I opened it and saw "paws", so I thought, hey, why not. Plus, I need a third book to get the 3/$1, instead of each for $.40.
I saw the first two of these [ http://wolfdreamer.com/guard.htm ] today at the Lincoln Square mall and oh, so wanted to get the first one. He was pretty... and I think, if properly woken, would make a great 'guardian' spirit. The wolf candle wasn't... that great, but yeah, the first one was good. Dunno, flipped a penny and it said I should get him . . . but $35? :\ Here's the creator's main page: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/index2.htm
