As he reached for the door, he heard a beeping noise, and turned, confused, before he cursed, realizing that it was his alarm clock. The room faded, and the sword shimmered and fell apart in a rain of black letters. Growling, he groped around, found his glasses and tumbled out off bed, slamming the alarm clock off as he stumbled over to his desk, shoving books and papers out of the way. Pulling his keyboard closer, he clicked on his monitor and skimmed through his e-mail.
It was then that the bunny broke in through his window. With a sharp smattering of glass against his desk, which his parents demanded to be pushed up against the window as that was the best, healthiest bit of light, the bunny landed perfectly on all fours, right next to his keyboard.
He stared at it.
It stared back at him, nose twitching.
Yep. Uh, randomness.
Damnit, I should be sleeping. I've got a skills test in ice skating, and so I'll be up at 8:20ish.
