Damn it.

So the apple store told me my iBook would be back by the end of the week. Repair request was submitted the 6th. It'll be arriving monday morning at 10:30, according to FedEx.

I fly out monday morning. At about 9:40.

What's worse, is, the tracking number provided shows that the package is already at the Rockville FedEx facility. Rather, I know it's at the facility - I went there and checked with the lady at the counter. But I can't pick it up there - there's apparently a note that says, "No customer pickup" on the shipping details, and none of the three Apple representatives I've talked to can do anything about it (twice, I called AppleCare, and they called the store and FedEx, but couldn't change anything. And when I went into the Apple store to ask, they told me they couldn't do anything about it.)

And FedEx won't let me take it, since it's going to the Apple store, and I'm not an Apple employee/representative.

Damn it, it's so close... oh, so, fucking close.

Flight can't be moved - it's travelocity, and one of those "no-changes-allowed" tickets.

So now I get to wait an additional week (or so AppleCare person had estimated) for them to get and check the machine, then forward it to me at school.


In the future: Not going into the goddamn Apple store.
